Grown up, living in the city, rainy days were mostly about getting somewhere. No time to watch the ground.
Then one day, ordinary day after rain, she was looking at her phone as she walked. She stopped. She didn't know why.
There was a puddle on the ground. Scattered light inside it — coloured, broken, shifting.
She stood and watched for ten seconds. Then kept walking.
Just those ten seconds. She felt like the day had been worth it.
